Masters in Art therapy artwork, School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC)
This piece was created to reflect the technique of "blind contour" as a place of self-reflection. The creator of the piece can look at anything as long as they do not look at the paper. The eyes and hands must work together together to capture the countour of the percieved object. When used as a self exploratory tool, blind contour can illicit radical acceptance of imperfections, challenging perfectionism and expanding participants sense of art techniques.
